Natural stone can be defined as materials quarried directly from the earth. They are durable, high quality, pieces of stone that will last for years to come. Examples of natural stone are marble, limestone, granite, slate and more. For the purpose of this blog, we want to focus on the ways in which natural stone such as veneer, flagstone, or granite can help to increase the value and look of your property.
Flagstone & Veneer
In our last blog, “Flagstone vs Veneer” we touched on the main differences between the two types of stone. Flagstone is a thick and heavy stone used for patios and walkways. Whereas veneer is thinner and used for more decorative elements around your home. Both types of stone are a sure way to increase your curbside appeal. In the slides below you can find our favorite examples of flagstone and veneer being used around properties across the country.
Granite
Another example of natural stone that is going to increase the appeal of your home or office is granite. Granite has been used for centuries because it is extremely durable and looks great in any setting. Granite can be used for countertops, backsplashes, and more. Granite is durable against weather elements, which in turn makes it a great choice for outdoor kitchens!
Slate
The next example of natural stone we love is slate. Slate comes in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Slate provides a more natural earth-toned color and texture making it perfect for any outdoor space. Crushed slate looks great around flower beds and walkways. See more examples of slate in the slider below.
Marble
The last example of natural stones we love is marble. Marble is often used in bathrooms, décor walls, and even as flooring. It comes in multiple colors; however, white marble is a popular choice. This stone is very durable, but it should be noted marble can stain easily and is not recommended for kitchens. Check out the photos below to see our favorite projects that use marble.
